For stores where a second of load time costs revenue

E-commerce is the one category where design, performance, and revenue connect directly and measurably. We work on the pages that convert and treat load time as a conversion problem rather than an engineering nicety.

  • Product and category page design

  • Checkout flow optimisation

  • Performance as a revenue lever

Where the money leaks

Three places, in order of how often they are the biggest problem:

  • Product pages — not enough imagery, unclear variants, shipping cost revealed too late, reviews buried below the fold.

  • Category and search — filters that reload the whole page, no useful sort, and no indication of how many results sit behind a filter.

  • Checkout — forced account creation, surprise costs at the final step, and forms that do not autofill.

Images are usually the performance problem

On most stores we audit, imagery is 70 to 90 percent of page weight. Modern formats, correct sizing per breakpoint, and genuinely lazy loading below the fold typically halve load time before anyone touches JavaScript.

Category pages are the ranking surface

Not the homepage. That means unique content per category, faceted-navigation URLs that do not spawn thousands of near-duplicates, and Product structured data on every item so results carry price and availability.
